Jolyn Hersch
Dr Jolyn Hersch is a Senior Research Fellow in the Melanoma and Skin Cancer team, where she coordinates a large survey investigating the receipt of professional skin checks after melanoma. Jolyn’s disciplinary expertise spans public health, behavioural science, and mixed methods research. Her research aims to understand and support communication, decision making and informed consent around various forms of cancer screening and testing. Jolyn’s experience encompasses the development and evaluation of patient information and decision support resources, recently including a novel dynamic consent platform to facilitate informed choice about genomic testing in oncology. She collaborates with the Psycho-Oncology Co-operative Research Group and is also Co-Lead of the Shared Decision Making research theme at the Sydney Health Literacy Lab.
