Brindha Shivalingam
Dr Shivalingam is a Neurosurgeon at Sydney’s Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and Chris O’Brien Lifehouse. She is a graduate of Sydney University and completed her Neurosurgical training in 2006. Her post fellowship training neuro oncology and skull base surgery was in Addenbrookes Hospital, Cambridge, UK. The focus of her practice lies in Neuro oncology and skull base surgery. Dr Shivalingam has a special neuro oncology interest in Gliomas and in melanoma surgery and is affiliated with the Melanoma Institute Australia. Her skull base surgery involves close collaboration with ENT surgeons and focuses on acoustic neuroma surgery and anterior endoscopic surgery. Her current memberships include Neurosurgical Society of Australasia, ANZMTG, COGNO and SNO. She is the JMO supervisor at RPA, and conducts teaching of Medical students at the University of Sydney and Notre Dame University and the supervision of two SET Neurosurgical trainees and one preSET. Dr Shivalingam is the Co Founder of Brainstorm at RPA, a fund aimed at facilitating brain cancer research at RPA/University of Sydney.
