Danette H Langbecker
Dr Danette Langbecker is an NHMRC Research Fellow at the Centre for Online Health (COH) at The University of Queensland. She completed a PhD at the Queensland University of Technology that involved developing and testing a patient-focused resource to encourage communication between health professionals and patients and families affected by brain tumours, and she continues to develop this program of research with colleagues in Australia and internationally. Her overall program of research has two streams: 1) psychosocial interventions to support cancer patients and their families, with a focus on people affected by brain tumours and their families; and 2) using innovative models of care, particularly telehealth and eHealth, to provide care to people with a range of conditions experiencing access issues or disadvantage.
