Shankar Siva
Associate Professor Shankar Siva is a consultant radiation oncologist at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, principal fellow at the University of Melbourne and an NHMRC ECF Fellow. He has received over AUD $4 million of competitive research/grant funding and over 20 awards for research. He leads the stereotactic ablative body radiotherapy (SABR) program at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, and published the first original research employing the SABR technique in Australia. He has an international research profile in SABR, lung and kidney cancers. He been responsible for co-chairing and designing four investigator initiated clinical trials combining immunotherapy and SABR to date
