Katherine Clark
Katherine Clark (MB BS MMed PhD FRACP FAChPM) is the current Clinical Director of Palliative care for NSLHD, a position she accepted in November 2016. Prior to this, she was the Medical Director of Palliative Care Services at Calvary Mater Newcastle (CMN). Her other current appointments include: Conjoint Professor, School of Public Health and Medicine, the University of Newcastle; Clinical Advisor, the Palliative Care Outcomes Collaborative, the University of Wollongong; Conjoint Professor, the University of Wollongong. Although Katherine’s substantive role is as a clinician, Katherine has steadily built a research profile. She established CMN as a centre for palliative care research based on the belief that specialist palliative care services must provide the most appropriate and timely clinical care. To date, Katherine has published more than 80 journal articles and letters along with several textbook chapters.
