Elizabeth Ahern
Dr Elizabeth Ahern is the Clinical Research Fellow (Medical Oncology) at Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital and a PhD candidate at Queensland Institute of Medical Research, in the Immunology in Cancer and Infection and Cancer Immunotherapy and Immunoregulation laboratories. After undertaking training in Medical Oncology in Brisbane she has pursued a PhD to further her interest in cancer immunology research. Dr Ahern’s thesis focuses on RANK/RANK Ligand interactions in the tumor microenvironment, with the aim of developing novel immunotherapeutic approaches. Her research interests include translational immunology research in areas of need, such as prostate cancer and colorectal cancer, and clinical/scientific collaborations in head and neck cancer.
