Christine Henneker
Christine Henneker is an endorsed Nurse Practitioner currently employed as the, Western Australian Country Health Service Nurse Practitioner- Cancer Services.
As part of a state wide team her primary role is to support health services to provide timely, appropriate and equitable access to evidence based diagnostic, treatment and supportive cancer care.
Christine is active at a clinical, strategic and service development level and provides clinical nursing leadership to the multidisciplinary cancer teams across rural WA.
Christine commenced her nursing career at Fremantle Hospital in 1980 and was endorsed as a Nurse Practitioner in 2010. Her clinical interest is in providing cancer care close to home when safe and appropriate and in facilitating access to specialist tertiary services when required.
Christine’s commitment to the development of cancer nurse roles and positions in Country WA and her current position as Chair of the Cancer Nurses Society of WA State Group Committee means that she contributes to the clinical, education, strategic and developmental aspects cancer services with a mission to improve outcomes for country people.
